Archbishop Stepinac High School senior Dylan DeMuro of Yorktown Heights became the first lacrosse player in school history to sign a fall National Letter of Intent to play NCAA Division 1 lacrosse. Dylan signed this afternoon with Coach Steve Manitta and Manhattan College, which competes out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Dylan is a three sport athlete at Stepinac , starting at outside linebacker on the school’s undefeated football team, as well as a starting forward on the varsity basketball team. However, no success is as great as his time as a member of the varsity lacrosse program at Stepinac. Dylan is a four year varsity starter, and has started a total 66 games for the Crusaders at long stick midfield and close defense. He has been a first team all-league selection in his first three seasons, while also being awarded CHSAA “A” long stick midfielder of the year after his junior season. He has helped Stepinac amass a league record of 32 wins and 2 losses during his tenure, while also being a key component in Stepinac’s 2013 CHSAA “A” Intersectional Championship and 2014 CHSAA “A” City Championship. Outside of athletics, Dylan is a member of Stepinac’s Travel Club and Ambassador Club while also assisting in the school’s Admissions Office. He plans to major in Buisness next year at Manhattan College.
